It's another business to work on & a distraction from my short term rental business. 

Anyone else distracted at work, counting down the days until we fly to Cancun?

You may think it's good planning or what not to go off in the weeds on what every step will be, what you will do after property 14 blah-blah-blah, all of that is only a distraction. 

I still view their services as valuable and necessary and their compensation by itself is not a deterrent or distraction.  

I don't want to distract you with my speculation of what's going on.

As to your numerical goal, you can certainly exceed that (and ultimately by a large margin).Most would-be real estate investors get distracted along the way but have lots of smart phone apps.

It’s a balancing act for them, and time will tell if this shift adds genuine value for hosts or just distracts from core issues that need fixing.What would make the most sense is if Airbnb uses Experiences to enhance the guest journey while still keeping the focus on the quality of the core stay.

I also would stay away from carpet, too many opportunities for it to get ruined, try to not let the cheap and easy appeal distract you from the headaches it could cause. 

In a tough market, it's easy to get distracted by all the shiny opportunities that come up.For example, to really focus on growing our real estate agent business, we made the difficult decision to stop buying investment properties this year.
