STR Property management is common and I know a lot of folks doing this.  

I'm considering increasing that last one as property values go up.

They will also be using it for a STR/college style rental property as well.

Sounds like you got a property with minimal out of pocket.You could try posting the room on FB or Craigslist.

Daniel,If its something you really like from all accounts, get with an inspector and property manager to give their thoughts on the area, condition of the property etc...
