Alderman Proagative....interesting...Why Chicago continues to make it harder to be an investor is mind-blowing....why not make it easier to buy a 2-4 unit property to drive home ownership?

My question is how can someone be so far off on value and continue to keep their job? 

How about '09' jobs lost?

If I put all of my eggs in one basket (Florida in this case), paid off property and a hurricane blows everything away, FEMA is nowhere to be found and the insurance companies take years to pay what little claims they actually do pay, I suffer through it in a blown out house.

He also talks a lot about gap funding or seconds so those we know will blow up occasionally. 

The other 10% are scammers, or have mental issues, or have perpetual money problems, or are career criminals, or psychopaths, or have massive entitlement issues, lack anger management, or are spousal abusers, or can’t hold a job, or don’t want to work, etc.  

I can see how passionate you are about your job and sailboats, so It seems like changing your job comes first.

These jobs could have gone to Oregon but the business climate is repressive.Arizona is going from "non productive spending/non job producing" government "job" costs, to factory & goods producing that create even more jobs, revenue and taxes.

You can even blow insulation into walls from the inside without gutting the walls especially if you plan to patch and skim the walls anyways. 

It may also depend if they are paid per hour or per job.
