If you have children who will have direct contact with the floors, more than an adult, (crawling, rolling, bare foot), is the contact with PVC vinyl worse than say the stuff they put on the carpets or the formaldehyde in laminate?

The walls and doors are covered in holes, the place smells awful (like dog pee and old, nasty carpet, in fact, if we walk barefoot, our feet are filthy within a couple minutes), there are no screens on some of the windows and the sliding back door (which, btw, does not have a handle because the previous tenant broke it completely off), and I told him mosquitoes are attracted to me and that I have a severe allergy to them (there is no AC, so we have to have the windows and doors open at night to cool the place down, but can't without screens), he also said he would have a microwave installed above the stove when we looked at the place that first night months ago and did not do it.I fully understand all of what he said was a load of BS but that nothing was in writing, so we can't hold him to any of that stuff *but* we also haven’t signed a rental agreement or given him any money yet--no deposit, no first month's rent, nothing--and we moved in on July 1st. 

I start to suspect that lotion or natural skin oils can disolve the finish if you are barefoot a lot.

For example we did our own work converting the Duplex from junky backyard to a nice fenced (separate area per unit) to barefoot backyard, storage unit space, removing old 70's 6in concrete pad for vehicle parking, etc for a nice value add to renters).Some of what we're looking for in our first Texas real estate purchase & relocation (house hacking as we'll live in one of the 4 units) investment.

Joshua, I’ve used phil kennedy at century 21 barefoot rentals for the purchase of my golf course townhouse and two oceanfront homes.  

It has slight divots that can be felt over the LVP when barefoot.

They did, however, catch the bare foot bandit who did a string of in home robberies the past year or so.

While with our system is not super noticeable if someone is walking barefoot or in tennis shoes, if someone is walking in heels above it, you will hear it.
