Am not of a slavery ancestry background, through my mother's father's lineage, as entered into North America, likely before U.S. independence occurred, as part of trade-ship crews, deciding to jump ship.My mother's father was deeply opposed to slavery, & even so, in a kind of anguish, as though his ancestors, before entering North America, had been intimately involved with slavery.
