If you want to start out-of-state, as someone who started off in Columbus, and grew up in Cleveland, I would say, the Ohio market in general is a very beginner friendly state to get started with your real estate journey.

Gilbert is a great area for a lot of reasons.. it's where I grew up and its really grown!

There are risky, but high return options like QQQ which grew 27% over the last year or on the other side / safe end, there are super secure short term US government bonds like SGOV which pays out about 4.5% in dividends. 

I grew up here and am familiar with the area.

I grew up around a “grind” mentality, and my family members seemed to spend all the money they made.
