There are people running into the harsh reality that they cannot pay rent or they cannot afford the place they are currently living.

Give them one only slightly bad weather event timed with the drama of the desperation they've put themselves in and look out.

At least the law ends up supporting the main point of people being able to choose their roommates, and hopefully if someone ever does go to court for advertising their taste, they won't be punished harshly lol.

You are in a tough spot here, and the honest perhaps harsh truth (as others have mentioned) is that you are very overpriced for the area.
