My solution until about a year ago was to go to a nearby McDonalds with Wi-Fi and sip a soda while making calls and sending emails.Last year I found Regus Office Suites where I can use their "business lounge" and unlimited high-speed internet every day for just $19 per month.

Well, not only did they not get the re-fi approved and had to pay $500 for the appraisal but the mortgage company asked them to find a new mortgage company within the next 6 months (whether they stopped growing or not).
