With that being said Grand Rapids has a diverse job market, multiple Fortune 500 companies, has a large university driving a young workforce, affordable housing even at the rate of its growth and it's won Beer City twice in the last 5 years, in addition to hosting the largest public art competition in the United States (using grand prize money metric) every year. 

I bought beautiful stuff at estate sales - room size rugs and furniture, kitchen items and wall art.
