I did some bookkeeping years ago for a little old landlord who was the funniest guy - he leased out rooming houses and he took out rent payments in "trade" from some of the ladies.

Ideally, you would make each property its own cost centre, but if you make the book keeping too elaborate it will become too much of a chore and it won't get done {just ask my accountant ... and our new book keeper}.

If they don't respond I know I may have a problem and call, or have my bookkeeper call.

Does anyone in the  Brevard County area, Palm Bay, Melbourne, West Melbourne know of any Good Accountants/CPA/Book Keeping experts.

I used to do bookkeeping for a person who owned two houses in Atlanta but worked in NY.

We each would be providing half of the cash, but I would be doing all of the work (acquisition, rehabbing, managing, bookkeeping, etc).

Doesn't seem like you're a financial analyst or perhaps even a basic bookkeeper, so the value to me seems rather low.

ask them what book keeping system they use.
