, so I found another affordable small town on the coast where it's nice and cool, wayyyyy up north at the Oregon border. 

The only place I lived where the train noise was horrendous, was a house I bought on the Canadian border in WA. 

It's an unoccupied duplex in a so-so part of town (but on the border of a good school district, which was part of the appeal.)  

That wasn't helpful Ryan and bordered on rude.

Add a flower bed border. 

I bought a house close to a railroad track when that's all I could afford in WA state on the Canadian border.  

@Sue Kelly, we are right on the Oregon/California border, in Oregon. 

This isn't to say Inglewood is crime free, hell my car was stolen a month ago, there have been some residential break ins, and gangs exist, but that's true for all of Los Angeles, especially middle to upper class areas bordered by crime and gang plagued areas.  

Their credit was good, bordering on Excellent.
