I've never done an RE transaction before, but the dream is to have a portfolio of buy/hold properties to rent out for a lifetime.I'm moving to the Orlando area and starting my licensing course in June, I hope to have my license by July to learn the ropes as an agent for a year or so, and then dip into buying some properties myself to rent to tourists in the area.

Like it or not, what we have here no other state comes close to, and it will always be a popular area for business, tourists, and living.

As if there were no tenants in other areas LOLToday I know that tnenats are a little like tourists, they prefer living in an owner occupied area.

Next, the Obama Library will eventually be built creating a few jobs and more tourist to the area which will be another economic anchor in the community (I have discounted the Library as an outright stimulus for growth in the area.

Closer to points of interest like tourist attractions, transportation, jobs all typically increases the rents.5.

Also think about:-target market. will you rent to tourists, travelling professionals, college students, etc.?

Many of us accountants have clients worldwide.

Workers just need to live outside the city(s) leaving the downtown/touristy areas for tourists.
