I've patronized a restaurant that has one set up over the patio area to keep leaves from falling on your plate and in your drinks.

@Steve Vaughan  or buy them coffee or a beer  LOL.I had one wholesaler newbie here in Pdx who apparently fell into what he thought was a smoking deal and it does happen.. he hits me on BP.. but won't give me the address or asking price.He wants to meet me first etc etc... we went back and forth a few e mails.. then he says meet me at this cigar bar but the drinks have to be dutch as I am on a budget..

When I finished college, I had my fair share of party and drinking, I enjoyed that part of my life and I could afford if I don't drink or party again.

As stated above, except for any food or drink you happen to order there is no charge to attend.

I'm still in the learning phase and my approach has been to hear out the opinions and strategies of a lot of different people who came from different areas/backgrounds -- no matter how much I REALLY like/admire somebody, I never want to start drinking too much koolaid from one person :)

This is why we should not drink and go on the internet.

I had a business card that just had my name and phone number on it, nothing else.I could always jot a note on it if needed to jog their memory, like:House on WalnutFinancingBike rideBeer Bust next Sat. 6:00 pm"I'll buy you a drink" or just "call me" :)But, if you are representing yourself as operating under a business entity, that should be disclosed in all written materials, including business cards, otherwise, you may be seen as dealing personally. :)

I imagine a bunch of nerdy guys in a basement doing research for 18 hours a day drinking mountain dew.

The mid-level so called GC's are not really GC's but guys that "could" be if they would quit drinking....
