Somehow we got out-bid and lost the deal 😔 In our disappointment, we put a $140k offer on a $145k co-op in Sarasota. 15min drive from Siesta Beach… best beach in the USA!

Otherwise, you could get high rent comps to get to the closing table, and then be disappointed in the rent you can attain.

And then be prepared to be disappointed, because most tenants don't have a care in the world about keeping your yard in good shape. ;)Hope this insight helps!

If you are specific about the price, neighborhood, size etc... you may be disappointed by the number of options that a broker can send to you!

You will run into disappointing people and situations a lot in real estate and you just have to roll with the punches unemotionally.  

It's disappointing because my rate would have been prime LESS 1.01% and I could have drawn some equity out if I wanted to.

I had also read before that most of the homes are significantly overpriced which could derail the deal on appraisal, so it's disappointing that your deal is another confirmation of that and that the seller was not interested in negotiating.
