I have always been an entrepreneur and it runs in my family.When I moved into real estate about a decade ago a friend had a developer approaching them to buy their old coin laundry store they had inherited from their mother.I went to the developer and analyzed the contract they wanted to use and found every single out in the contract.

Generally speaking, REI clubs tend to have a mix of mostly-new investors looking to learn from the speakers and presenters, as well as a decent mix of solo-entrepreneurs looking to find new business leads (such as realtors, loan officers, home inspectors, note sellers, attorneys, etc).

like a business owner/entrepreneur - if he/she is good they use the banks and financing to their advantage, increasing sales and generating more and more revenue using debts and branch managers to accomplish their business plans.

I was introduced to the Bigger Pockets podcast through a really good friend of mine who is a very successful realor and entrepreneur in Rancho Cucamungo, CA.

I don’t consider myself a real estate entrepreneur who maximizes leverage because I’m just not wired that way. 

I'm an entrepreneur,  blogger,  podcaster, and  photographer from Seattle. 

My careers included accountant, insurance sales, entrepreneur (retail...successful, but took too much time, so sold so I could spend more time raising my boys), software developer, college instructor, college administrator, and instructional designer (curriculum developer).Over the years, my husband and I rehabbed a few properties for rentals, which we later sold, so now that I am at loose ends again (the college I worked for the last 10 years gained a new administration who decided to lose a few hundred employees), I decided to try my hand at flipping.

There's a part of me that believes you must find your own way as an entrepreneur—even in REI.
