something simple is buy storage shed from Home Depot and place it outside for extra storage for you tenants and increase the rent $50-100.

There has got to be some requirement of accepting help and working to solve problems whatever they are in exchange for the help,  and those who won't take the trade should move along and accept consequences for any illegal activity until they see fit to change their minds.What I don't get is that the city has a lot of surplus land -- and a lot of people with a lot of great ideas to quickly build a class of housing someplace between a glorified garden shed and a 200-300K or more per unit "affordable" housing complex.   

Plus, the homes near me are very expensive, I don't plan on doing live-in/rent-out.I spoke with a family friend, who has worked as a lawyer on real estate deals, and she mentioned that I'll be 'missing out on first-time home-buyer' perks if my first purchase is a rental.Could someone shed some light on what these perks might be?

The list of weird never stops, especially in their sheds and garages.

My old PM was able to shed some light on some of the more puzzling aspects of this whole thing - things that she has heard from other property managers and her other former clients.

While working full-time jobs we were able to demolish the dilapidated house, a garage, several sheds, and clear and clean our 1.3-acre parcel.

Also, a shed in the back houses lawnmowers for a landscaper paying $75 a month.  

Literally the minute I bought it, I've been taken to the proverbial wood shed with this property.

If it's an 8' X 10' shed, just move it.
