I see it as growing organically as we are willing and able to take on more.I guess I'm really looking for financing advice on how to start without limiting ourselves to one property for several years.Things that come to mind are taking on a couple of outside investors (family), promising them X as a return rate, and once that is returned, they no longer own a piece of the property.Another would be to split the house with outside investors and let them remain investors in that specific property for perpetuity. 

I plan to spend 9-12 months doing everything right and really exploring the upper limits of my ability as an athlete.That, and perpetual travel, anyway :-)

They have been perpetually "working on it".Beyond is a significantly inferior tool for pricing my unique properties. 

I think that comes from the stereotypical picture we have of the pushy and obnoxious salesman who just won't take no for an answer... or maybe the sort of "snake oil" approach that many internet marketers take.

It's for a set period of time (e.g. three months), unlike a perpetual month-to-month lease that comes along with the eviction notifications of 21 days, etc.I'm zoned R1, so I can't owner-occupy for STR once I move. 

I guess some people are perpetual victims. 

I would suggest advertising for a week or two before offering an incentive.I'm in Milwaukee as well, and what I see is that the stereotype is that there are LESS units available in the winter simply because people don't think there are many people looking.

There is no required amount per se, but realtors like to perpetuate an old wife’s tale that claims that a minimum amount is required.
