Your town may have just undergone a comprehensive reevaluation which adjusts the property values of the whole town.

Every other mistake I made was valuable and part of the journey.  

I funded this with US cash, as well as a loan with a Canadian bank.I have shared this process with many friends and other real estate buddies that commended my journey.

I am not suggesting that you cannot diversify however are you looking for cash flow or is buying now, holding for appreciation and or forcing appreciation is your play.Good luck on your journey!

My guess is that our situation is different; different end goals, W2 income, home prices, market conditions, strategies, etc... but I can share my journey and what I look for in my current market along with prices.
