I believe the owners with the majority ownership share forced the others to sell, but they weren’t cooperating. 

I truly do not believe they have changed or will change.

After I reached that goal, I set a new goal of 3x the required income for financial independence with the intent of giving 2/3 of it to charity.I don't believe in leaving a massive legacy for my children.

I believe this is fairly standard across the board.

Mixing the two is like mixing oil and water.

I agree with Erik, although their are some investors out there that will help fund the down payment/entry fees that you mention, they typically are friends and family that trust you and believe in you.

I believe Hawaii will continue regulating STR and it will be harder to make the numbers work. 

With that said I believe there is good opportunities there.

So this is what the gurus won't tell you bc they need to sell their courses and are very good at manipulating you into believing you can't do it without their secret info.
