For example, when I took over running the franchise PM biz, previous leadership was so deep in the weed's with over 100 open maintenance ticket's and just a mess of things.

I'm still playing catch up from the conference.

Am I able to have business deductions related to my real estate investment such mileage to visit my property which is 100+ miles from where I live, real estate conferences, real estate books, property management, etc?

@David Cianci, from a marketing side: think about thought leadership campaigns, but also knowing how to define a customer base, develop messaging that resonates with this customer's pain points, and offering a clear solution for them.

We read a lot of books, attended conferences, etc. but I think the most important thing we did in the beginning was consistently attending a multifamily investor networking group.

Travel to conference cost me $5k per week so always assumed id need a lot to purchase abroad and own for minimum of 5 years.
