To be clear, I know that this kind of thing can happen, but the point of my post was an ethical complaint/observation.

After years of observing what tax returns are being audited, we can make some good guesses.

So making observations on more or less profitable areas is racist if the demographics aren't weighted the same?

@Gretchen Place good observation, that is definitely part of the issue.

Besides being the private money lender, I frequently checked in on the property, learning and observing the process from start to finish.

If you are a year and a half in and own more than a vehicle, you are spending too much and might be (based on my observations of others starting general or specialty contracting companies) just churning money.

I'm in a similar situation and looking to observe others experience.
