Outdated term for second living area.

In other areas of the US a house that is more than 20 years old may be considered outdated and undesireable.

Not as thorough as an inspector but good for someone who may not know exactly what is considered a code violation or "outdated" 

The neighborhood is pretty old and outdated but safe and close to wal-mart and other downtown.

I am assuming they units are vacant because they are out-dated, so you need to determine how much it will cost to update the units and how long that will take. 

I have a lot of content but am concerned about it becoming outdated quickly.   

We discussed selling it, but he now wants to keep it and remodel it (it needs it - outdated, foundation issues). 

Hi Tom,Don’t know about a “checklist “, but here is what I look for;Roof, age of appliances, flooring, electrical-especially if it is an FPE, plumbing-looking for leaks or old polybutylene piping, siding or exterior materials-if there is asbestos, that can cost more to remove, cabinets-are they old And outdated, windows The other things in a multi to consider; is there an HOA or COA, or county ordinances on lease terms, approvals etc... are their leases or deposits in place, extra keys, rent roll, P & L, warranties etc... there can be so much more depending on the property and area, but hopefully this will help

BRRRR is great in theory but in today market that model is out dated just like the 2% rule..

They may have rebates available for upgrading your outdated HVAC system.
