The lot is in a new TIF district which is likely to see some considerable reinvestment in the next 10-20 years and steer the city's (slow, but real) growth through the neighborhood.

I normally steer away from brokers, but in this case I recommend giving him a call.  

At your age, as many have advised, I would steer clear of direct real estate investing.

One reason you may be getting told all those no's is that you may be getting steered to the residential side of the house.

This is really helping me steer clearer.

It's pretty bad that when I want to search on BP that I have to go to Google to do it....Plus...There is a ton of fantastic blog content that needs to be way better organized and indexed so that the many great influencers on BP, like @Russell Brazil , @JD Martin , and Alex can help steer new members to the already existing fantastic content.

I am always weary on anyone who tries to steer you hard in one direction or the other.

A homeowner who is looking to sell ought to steer clear of these contractors.
