The last one is a nurse so I am assuming she will probably be sick at some point, and since I consider her and all the rest of the health care workers heros I will do anything I can to help out there. 

Healthcare insurance under O was merely disaster insurance where no one could afford the premiums - might as well not have it - except then the politicians cant brag. 

Ask them how they feel about free college tuition and health care.

I work in healthcare (software) so I hope to be able to work remote for majority of the week in the future.Renton and Tacoma would've been a really great fit for us if we could make the commute work.

I would say that if you wanted to be truly passive, you could consider being a lender (which is what's allowed me to quit my job in Healthcare), syndications (to diversify) and possibly even buy a cashflowing asset alongside it all(midwest).

I don't personally have any experience with mid-term rentals, but with healthcare being such a large industry here, I imagine you would have success with travel nurses. 

There are always plenty of people looking for one year leases and also you can market to some of the health care professionals supplying the large network of hospitals in Baltimore.
