That would lessen the ductwork requirement; but then each unit would not be gas fired (at least I have not seen any mini-split where gas is the fuel for the backup heat).

It’s not only the money thing here you could have her causing drama issues with property of hers she thinks he has .. a new boyfriend/ girlfriend adding fuel to the fire ...kids being shuttled back and fourth and your house is drop off location  , he’s not paying his obligations/bills ..she’s Jealous..next thing you know somebody is saying they got hit and theres cops at your property causing a bad reputation for your area  .
