Just take their property estimates with a grain of salt.

Everything must be imported-Maintenance is never ending, the salt air, tropical sun, humidity, and power surges can do a number on the property. 

Any real estate agent on Maui that is worth their weight in salt should be able to tell you if a particular property allows short term rentals.  

Prediction: take this with a grain of salt but the place that is going to improve the most in the next 10 years is the Hill District.

If someone lacks specific compliance and/or regulatory experience then their opinions really need to be taken with a pound of salt so to speak as they are probably wrong.

I'm a little fuzzy on what the hold-up was, but I know that the 4-plex I was looking at in Salt Lake City wouldn't work for one of those reasons.I look forward to seeing one of the Loan Ninjas in our midst add incredible value here!

Same guy gave away one week per year of a client's cabin for a fellow to mind and manage his salt water aquarium. 

Take this all with a grain of salt, but here's my two cents.

@Josh Dillingham I'm not an appraiser so take this for the grain of salt that it is but some will care and some will toss your thoughts in the trash (literally and/or metaphorically). 

The belts need adjusting or replacement, the circulating pumps need to be cleaned of calcium salt.
