You’ll then have a good grasp of how you want your property managed and set better expectations should you still want to outsource.

So, it kinda sounds like they are not interested in outsourcing this task to different people/groups that are local to the individual properties; if I misunderstood how "hire somebody" was used let me know.

Change your ways or outsource to a pro ASAP.  

Build a team internally that can handle property management or outsource it to a third party you trust. 

@Bob Wilson managing lower wage workers, buying equipment for lawn care and having a tiny little landscaping company is going to be way more hassle than outsourcing.
