We ended up going back to the listing agent and saying "here's the form to get our earnest money back, and here's an amend/extend for $7K less, take your pick".

The bank will normally ask you to sign an amendment to the contract asking you to agree to some crazy terms.

If yes, you should amend your taxes because mortgage interest for a non-owner occupied property is not allowed. 

@marks - Is PMI for life of the loan a new amendment to FHA loans?

Or could they legally be added to a lease amendment listing them as "occupants" then whatever happens - the original tenant is held liable?

To amend my comment zoning or planning plans should be a lot quicker and cheaper but building permits should be a lot more that 2 months and $4500
