Now, it has been mentioned to me that the Landlords Association in Ontario has the ability to query criminal history (which would mean they have been accredited and have access to CPIC to perform name-based searches), but I have not confirmed this information (perhaps Stephen or Greg could weigh-in).

Assuming you’re an accredited investor id look into participating in syndications of apartment complexes.

The house is in a very nice peaceful residential community , home schools are highly rated.

If it's only accredited investors, things are going to be easy.

However, most require you to be an accredited investor (learn more about that here: https://www.biggerpockets.com/...) 

I hadn't looked into syndications as I thought they were only open to accredited investors (and didn't offer the same tax benefits). 

We have continued to expand by starting an investment fund so accredited investors (geared to physician investors) can join us and participate in the equity of owning more homes.

I do have two accredited people that would probably do $50k. 

You'd have to sacrifice a lot for the money you'd save by leaving.For our family, sacrifice means saying goodbye to our diverse community, beautiful landscape, mountains/beaches/rivers/lakes/vineyards/big cities/ rural towns all within 2 hours' drive, tolerance of our mixed-race family, beautiful weather, educational freedom (one of the most homeschool-friendly states in the country)...
