I am looking for suggestions on how to structure a partnership (short term) that will benefit him but allow me to be dissolve our partnership after a couple years as he isn't interested in long term holds.

hello harrison whom would you suggest for BRRRR properties in dfw?

I would suggest taking the route of option 2 or 3, so not only are you saving over 10k in rent per year but the residents help in paying down the debt.

The longer it stays in the same taxpayer name before changing it, the better.I would also suggest you speak to your CPA before making any decisions.

I suggest the buyer at least get an estimate of the potential tax savings.
