It's not as big as New Britain, Hartford, and New Haven, but it does have a great little main st with restaurants, and the walkability that young people like, while being centrally located for people who want to get around the state for work or fun.

Go find some of the best older neighborhoods for location, schools, etc.  

I encourage you to interview property managers to determine what their approach looks like when managing properties for an investor who does not reside in the market where the property is located.

My top locations for luxury Oregon Coast Real Estate Investment, estates and ranches are: - Brookings, Gold Beach and Bandon - One of the few stretches beyond Big Sur that you can actually drive along the Pacific Coast Highway at altitude.

You'll find much greater difference in $$$$$ by refining your location/rehab/vacancy strategies instead of worrying about "how much it costs to borrow money" in this environment.Nearly all of my clients are more concerned with a simple and headache-free funding process, than the "lowest rate."

HELOCs on rentals are rare, and depends on where you are located.

The townhouse is located in Aspen’s sought-after lodging district, where STRs are fully permitted.

I don't think that makes sense, because the space certainly adds value, in my experience.But this does tend to vary from location to location.
