I just finished helping some active duty soldiers stationed at JBLM purchase a property to househack.

Soldiers have BAH or rent added to their paycheck every month.

Also Fort Hoot is huge and has a large capacity for soldiers, but as force levels change there are wide swings at times as to the number of soldiers stationed there.

The next incoming soldier and they get a great deal. 

You can also House Hack and if big enough rent out to another soldier. 

As the Soldiers started coming back from deployments with money in their pockets, homes were in high demand, and the builder bought more land behind me and built CHEAPER homes bringing down my property value further.  

Also, as a soldier you qualify for a VA loan, no money down , low interest .
