Since this is the first time I've ever seen the forfeited land property list, I found it odd that in looking online, a few of the properties popped up at first blush as being foreclosed, while still having outstanding tax liens.

It is possible that they would allow you to install the cage after you have waived your contingencies - if you are willing to leave the cage their and forfeit getting reimbursed if you did not close.

Generally it's 10 days but in this market, it's so hot that many buyers are waiving the inspection period which basically means the earnest money you put down is immediately "hard" and you would have to forfeit it if you walk.
