I am not opposed to using a platform like Propstream that would provide hard analytical data on markets, demographics, and such, but even just in terms of news about developing markets and real estate news I don't really know where to look for specialized real estate news that is not subjective/someone's personal take on what is happening in a given market or something.

On the commercial side I used real capital analytics (RCA) which was super reliable....is there an equivalent on the resi side?

Even if you're not interested in those surrounding areas it's all about the analytical experience.

I think a lot of people get all wrapped up in today's analytic tools and formulas, and they aren't really necessary IMHO.
