The college culture is definately far different today that it was some years ago - especially with the classes being offered and the agenda that a lot of the professors have outside of teaching their class.Someday, probably soon, the warped attitudes and poor judgment instilled in our young people will crumble our way of life if we don't insist on bringing some grown-ups onto campus in order to give a more mature and informed view of the real world.But I thihk the other side to the issue is that if we send our kids to school without a clear idea of what the "real world" is like, then we haven't done our job as parents.

I understand that if we go far enough back in our own heritage, we all have immigrant lineage...but like has been mentioned before, we all assimilated to the culture.

At its heart it shows a few things that I think are pretty important:1) the counter-NAR/MLS culture is trying to get organized and strike in the right place -- Congress2) NAR lobbyists are all over the subcommittee already, they see this type of hearing as a direct attack on their bread and butter; their presence is directly reflected in the comments of the congressmen3) If you're looking for future trends, here they are; the writing is on the wall.

From where I sit, the government is allowing an entire culture to sit around on its collective *** all the while collecting Uncle Sam dole outs and expecting more - shades of New Orleans.

Is there a strong culture of internal competition here?

(Not much, small hick town) This city is striving for modernization, but unable to reach it because of one to many rednecks.I live in south Florida, where modernization/ culture are keen.

I would rather not get into details, as there seems to be a culture of no hear,speak,see.
