I, as well as my co-agents, find it a little offensive when someone asks to do such--it puts us in an awkward situation.

Seems to work for me.In one case, I have an awkward bend but it is accessible so I disconnect, pull out the lint by hand and reconnect Takes 5 min.

It can get tricky/awkward if they are late on rent and you see them all the time.

It just makes for an awkward set up as well as the loss of privacy from the lot being cleared to build. 

I tried working a contract off a computer screen, in fact, it was hooked into a large flat screen, it was awkward with delays between feeding new pages, time for chit chat that brakes the stride of the presentation of closing the deal, it's not for me.

This is also very important when marketing the property - if you market it and say that it can be used as "x", and it later turns out that is incorrect, you may find yourself in a very awkward legal predicament.

This situation is awkward in form.  

For us we do it on our higher end houses or if the property has an awkward floorplan.
