Oh and by the way I'm an accredited investor so I'm not talking out of my backside.  

You don't have to be accredited investor to buy into a 506(b) syndication.

I would think that in order for the classes / degree to be recognized for accreditation and as valid education credits (transferable?) 

I’ve worked myself out of a job as I finished homeschooling my last child this year.

Maybe taking a few classes from an accredited university to help your skills, but there is not a particular degree field for real estate investing.

I invested a total of $14.5k between 2017 and now, and earned a total net return of $3,168.18 to date (total account balance of $17,668.18).I would like to invest more, but to be safe following non-accredited investor limits, so I stopped at the max I could invest as a non-accredited investor.

In order to participate, and because these are "private placements", one must be an accredited investor.
