If you are syndicating, you need a book keeper at minimum, a CPA would be preferable.

Real estate bookkeeping is more complex than for a regular service business, so there's a lot to learn!

You will be forced to learn about marketing, bookkeeping, collections, customer service, and (unfortunately) government regulation. 

Closing agents, title companies, real estate sales, working for other investors, flipping, wholesaling, CPA, lawyer, title companIes, bookkeeping, loan agents, HUD, city planning, etc .... all have their hands in RE.

Buying the tenant's sob storiesGiving more than one payment plan to a tenantDoing the "cheap fix" instead of getting it done right the first timeAccepting poor quality work from a contractor or employeeNot focusing on accounting or hiring a bad bookkeeper (I've seen this one more times than I can count)Not documenting calls and communications with tenantsNot keeping your paperwork in orderAllowing tenant's problems to become your problemsReally, the list is almost endless

Cleaning, taxes, bookkeeping, are just a few that come to mind.
