I was wondering if someone can lead me to good trustworthy Contractor so i can update some of the issues I am finding in my search for a home.

The biggest lessons though are just doing it and getting good trustworthy experts.

The Zillow brand has far more reach, and may appear to be more "trustworthy" than any wholesaler can offer to a motivated seller.The question remains - how are their offers going to rank vs. an independent wholesaler/flipper?

Now I just need to find a nice location where I can continue making purchases over the years, a good deal, a trustworthy property manager, and potentially some means of financing suitable for foreign investors (although I do have some contacts in this final area already).

What you are doing will require trustworthy agents, property managers and home inspectors.    

Jay is absolutely correct -  these podcasts often make it sound like it's super easy to self-assemble a team of trustworthy, motivated contractors, agents, PMs etc.
