This agent could easily act as "Transaction Broker" for both parties and not violate any related dual agency rules or statutes so long as he treats you both equally as he cannot be fiduciary to either of you in that case.

This is for autos but yes the statute requires you to be the owner, which we are... planned to understand the risks & rewards and then look at how we can apply it to our property (since we'll begin paying off a few starting next year).

I'm on some Facebook forums for landlords and tenants and some of the postings "helping" tenants with questions (from other tenants) indicates most have little or no knowledge regarding the Landlord/Tenant statutes for that particular state.
