Tyra out that the brick layers had forgot to secure the angle iron above the garage properly resulting in a half inch wide crack at the corners of the garage doors.

Inch by inch it's a cinch.

I believe in researching and thoroughly looking over every inch of detail that I plan to incorporate within a project.

I have a 1910 duplex that has been great; original water lines shared causing me a potential large expense; bought in 1991 and appreciation has been strong; younger folks love the architecture and hardwoods (1.5 inch wide planks are cool) with over a 100 Craigslist hits when using pics of hardwood and pillars. 

If there is even an inch of impropriety, you can bet there will be more.

They may charge you 3K to do the roof but you're chasing them down for days / weeks, in the interim you have your roof exposed and then it poors 3 inches of rain.  

Unable to see basement due to 4-5 inches of clean clear (seemingly standing, or slow/low leak underwater) that was in the walkout stairwell - peeking through the window revealed entire basement flooded.

This would purely be an exercise in keeping funds separate and potentially 'inching' away my  husband and some of our jointly owned personal assets from liability.
