However, I don't know that it would warrant the cost of a whole brand new fridge since the FRIDGE still works, and isn't the Tenant's responsibility to pay for replacing a working fridge.

You get a court date and if tenant does not pay judge awards you posession and the tenant has approx. 15 days to get out. worse case you have to get a warrant for removal served but it is pretty standard.
