You should be able to facilitate the transaction with your team and attorney. 

Payments from seller to buyer typically are made at closing, often facilitated by an escrow officer.

Of course there were some times where I would get hit with some silly fine (I can't remember to list them) when my neighboring landlords were literally letting their buildings get run down, facilitating illegal activities, not per building code, etc.
