I am looking to DIY renovate my kitchen In my house hack duplex, I was needing to buy a new stove and dishwasher.. looking at the big box stores the cost for a decent one is quite intimidating.

Stove, Refrig, heater and water heaters are typical items that are covered.

However, to answer your question directly, a stove in a low income rental does not cost the same amount as a stove in a $2000 per month rental.

Half Finished Homes:For a home to qualify for conventional financing it needs to be considered livable and it’s missing things like carpet, drywall, plumbing, a stove, it is NOT considered livable.

It was sold to us for 115k and since then we’ve been doing minor upgrades here and there like paint, ceiling fans, dishwasher, stove etc.

I do not know about CA, but if its a gas stove..... you want to supply it !

I agree, maybe doing an island would be better - away from the wear and tear of sinks, stoves, & ovens.

Same as when our middle child stuck his hand on a hot stove and got burns.  

Ten toilets, stoves, showers, etc etc. 

(Metal for scrap, tons of cans.)Luckily, nothing too gross except for the refrigerator and stove.
