The base already has housing available and likely of newer construction:http://usmclife.com/bases/29-palms-california/mili...Since rents and housing are linked to real wages, the "Detroit of the dessert" while attractive in price, is lacking in employment for me and potential tenants.Since I'll likely house hack, I'll need an employer as well until my assets cashflow offset my living expenses.I plan to use the BRRRR strategy wherever I end up.Here's what know about 29 Palms:1.

Heblin Villa California HOA foreclosure

Marie Poe, I sincerely thank you for your consideration and for taking the time, I do not know if borrower is deceased since the deals I am puzzling together do not require the buyer, once we are awarded with the certificate of foreclosure all we do is wait for the 90 day redemption period to expire in order for us to start settling and paying off the surviving senior loans, no approval from borrower needed, but as you mentioned that you know better and more profitable plays than HOA foreclosure sales, I would love to learn some more about them, any insight is greatly appreciated, wish you continue success.

Hey, I always say "I could be wrong".I just think a $30k/door apt renting for $700/month has a much better chance of doubling in value than a $300k/door place renting for $2k/month since rents don't even have to move at the same pace (and the properties I'm buying and talking about are still near city core where areas are not great, but transitioning quickly) The financials are already tight on the $300k/door property and rents can't support a double or really any movement.
