We have no doubts as a resident and real estate investor that this is media hype that will disappear as soon as the next big thing happens and that the bill, even as written will not affect anyone, especially the citizens and the places they do business in.

We are US citizen. 

Unfortunately, the only people who typically abide by those types of signs are the upstanding citizens.  

The tenant is still a citizen, with all attendant rights(except being able to vote, right?

@John Thedford Personally, I have no problems with guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens but I'm also biased since I grew up around guns (my dad was a police officer). =)

I was reading up on Section 8's in the U.S and subsidy housing in Canada and was wondering if there were any organizations like these that provide senior citizen tenants? 

., and Canadian, citizens, you really do need to do your homework on a per-country (and per state/province/territory within that country) basis.

But these statistics are based off of the average citizen.
