Currently I'm in the navy and using the time I have here to learn and also start my real estate investing.

I’ve been in the Navy 5 years (with one remaining) and I’m trying to set up my transition out.

Using a VA loan is a great way to build wealth, using no money down, no mortgage insurance, and much of the closing costs covered by my credit union (Navy Federal).

Even in one given MLS area prices can differ dramatically for instance here in New Orleans Area 70 which runs parallel along the Mississippi River from the French Quarter downriver less than 2 miles prices can vary greatly depending on location within it.

I thought ,Perhaps since it is across the street from Bicentennial which have town houses that use to be for Cecil Field Navy housing, perhaps we could convince them the change is worth it to build a few apartments there, with the large amount of sudden growth coming to the area.  

I still own my very first primary residence as a rental on a VA loan (I'm ex-Navy and I lived there 4 years).

I've contacted two contractors for estimates on installing a french drain around the house - don't have the estimates yet.

My husband is active duty Navy We specialize in buy and hold investments :) We got started through  at 23 and 25 right out of my graduate program. 

Our goal is early retirement in 15 years when my husband retires from the Navy.
