I'm in North Andover, MA just across the NH border.

We're on the border of the county lines, and the three different UPS stores are in three different cities.

The marketing schemes these guys use to try to get you to buy are bordering on stupidity. 

Another possible problem is the we are 20 mins from the Canadian border so a lot of Canadians invest in the area, driving up prices.The realtor who showed me the house thinks we could resell it for $150K to $175K and thinks we should bid full price.

All of these people promoting the cross border fires sales...well lets just say do your homework.

You might want to look at going across the border in to Kansas City, MO, The insurance rates are much lower and the landlord/tenant laws are more favorable.

It's the area that sort of borders East Liberty and Lincoln-Larrimer.  

Near home you can check out the NHREIA in Manchester, the NH RE Mastermind in Nashua and just over the border the NEREIA in Chelmsford.  

We moved to MD from VA (right across from the NC border) and we are preparing our house now to be rented out.  

Income per capita are approximately equal both sides of the border.
