I put them up for a couple of days in a Hilton Garden's hotel suite while we put in new copper wiring.

The issue I usually have is not with the HOA but with the management company who can be slow to address your needs, but in practice this matters more for garden homes than apartment style buildings.

Does anyone have a good gardener in San Diego (property in North Park) they’re willing to share?

My thought for the house hack was that I can rent out the upper floor unit(s) in its entirety, while renting out the garden level unit on a room by room basis, and living in the basement if I have to.

There is a need everywhere for handymen, gardeners, etc. 

I managed a rental in Palm Beach gardens that did extremely well.

If you want slightly older homes that could be rehabbed, I would suggest Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, or surrounding cities. 

when Smothers is talking to Matt Damons character " its hard to determine when your telling the truth but from my position just seems like Garden variety greed)there is no doubt if these people with their on line presence would have just done some home work and worried about their client a little more they may have wanted to sell a different asset.. they would have still done well.. why this stuff I don't know.. but they should have stopped a year or more ago.but I got an email from someone I Jacksonville.. exact same scenario cheapest house in the hood.
