So in the future if I use another property management company, do you suggest that I insist that my name be on the trust account or would it be better if I have my own trust account set up so that all monies coming in and out come directly to me?

I have no motivation in saying that as others may insist new investors start there.Not only do you need to know the market, you need to know labor and material costs, understand time frames and holding costs, contractor issues, construction lending/financing, lien waivers, unique insurance policies, marketing prior to work being completed and retailing or wholesaling techniques.Seems like @J.

So, you're pretty much stuck with people showing up and having a look around.You might be able to insist on 24 hours notice to show the house.
